Following the attack in Nice, France on Thursday night that claimed the lives of more than 80 people and injured 100 more during a Bastille Day Celebration, the Nice Jazz Festival slated for this weekend has been cancelled.

The festival tweeted last night: “Following the tragic events, VilledeNice is in mourning. nicejazzfest cancelled. + more info tomorrow. Our thoughts are with the victims #jesuisnice”

The five night festival was scheduled to kick off tomorrow and featuring performances from Robert Plant, George Clinton, Snarky Puppy, Massive Attack and many others. Snarky Puppy offered up their condolences in a tweet, saying, “Due to the attack in Nice, the @nicejazzfest is canceled. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the senseless violence.”
