Widespread Panic continued their summer tour last night at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, welcoming two noted percussionists to the stage for a second-set jam.

For the “Drums” portion of the evening, which came just before the closing run of songs in the second set, Richie “Shakin” Nagan, who has played with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, joined in on shaker, and Nigerian percussionist Sikiru Adepoju came onstage with his talking drum. Nagan posted on his Facebook, “Just had the honor to play a percussion thing with Widespread Panic and Sikiru. It was the most high!”

Widespread Panic continue their tour tomorrow at the Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers, AR.
