After collaborating with familiar faces in Col. Bruce Hampton and Jimmy Herring the other night in Alpharetta, GA, Tedeschi Trucks Band continued that theme last night in Charlotte by welcoming out Gregg Allman for a cover of the Allman Brothers’ “One Way Out.”

The show was full of covers, with the group opting for an early take on Bowie’s “It Ain’t Easy” as well as tunes like the Beatles’ “Something” and “Within You Without You,” among others.

The meeting between Trucks and Allman comes just days after Oteil Burbridge dished on a potential Allman Brothers reunion. “I think the original guys have been talking,” the bassist said after noting he received a text from Allman recently that said, “Hey, maybe we should start thinking about getting something together in 2017.”
