The trailer for the new Ron Howard-directed Beatles documentary has been released, and the footage includes concert recordings, behind-the-scenes looks, throwbacks to the quartet’s famous press appearances and present-day interviews with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and more.

The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years follows the band from their early days in Liverpool to playing in front of screaming crowds in both Europe and the US. Voiceovers and clips show the hardships of fame that the group had to face, and the documentary promises to show “The Band You Know, The Story You Don’t.” In one clip, the voiceover says, “This mania was so much pressure,” while another has John Lennon saying, “I always liked singing ‘Help,’ because I always meant it. It’s real.” Paul McCartney is shown in an interview saying, “We were kids. We were all pretty scared.”

The trailer also shows the group’s change from their poppy beginnings to their more experimental later recordings (“We were looking for somewhere new to go,” McCartney says) and ends by touting the brotherhood and union that brought the four members through the hard times. Watch the trailer above.

The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years will be released in theaters on September 15 and on Hulu on September 17.
