Guitarist Nick Valensi of The Strokes has announced a new side project called CRX with a website and social media pages, but not much else.

The band will feature Valensi along with Ralph Alexander, Richie Follin, Darian Zahedi and Jon Safley, according to their Facebook page. Valensi’s wife, Amanda de Cadenet, has been fielding some questions via her Twitter account, confirming that her husband will be taking lead vocal duties in CRX. The band’s own account has teased that more information and possible tour dates will be available on their website soon.

The Strokes recently returned with their Future Present Past EP, along with shows at The Capitol Theatre and at Governor’s Ball.
