Last year on May 14, an impressive collection of iconic musicians came together at Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion to honor the life and music of Jerry Garcia in a concert event dubbed Dear Jerry, and now a documentary on the show is set for release on October 14. Rolling Stone has premiered a preview of the concert in the form of a video of Bob Weir leading a collective on the Grateful Dead’s “Touch of Grey.”

Dear Jerry: Celebrating the Music of Jerry Garcia will feature 150 minutes of footage from the event, which rolled out an all-star lineup of musicians including Weir and his Dead bandmates Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart and Phil Lesh, along with Widespread Panic, moe., David Grisman, Allen Toussaint, the Disco Biscuits, Trampled by Turtles, Jimmy Cliff, Yonder Mountain String Band, Grace Potter, Eric Church, Jorma Kaukonen, Los Lobos, Buddy Miller, Peter Frampton, Sam Bush and more. The night featured an array of classic cuts like “Friend of the Devil,” “Scarlet Begonias,” “I Know You Rider,” “Fire On the Mountain,” “Sugaree,” “Shady Grove,” “Uncle John’s Band” and an ensemble finale of “Ripple,” among others. “I’m loving this,” Weir told Rolling Stone about the show. “We can get further and further into the roots of the music that Jerry loved, and I think that could be an endless source of exploration and joy.”
