Gov’t Mule continued their summer tour at Asbury Park, NJ’s Stone Pony Summerstage last night, once again welcoming members of tour mates Blackberry Smoke, who also joined them the previous night in Maine.

After two sets, the band wasn’t ready to call it quits by a long shot, as they returned to the stage for a 20-minute cover of Neil Young’s epic “Cortez the Killer.” Blackberry Smoke guitarist Charlie Starr helped out on the tune, along with his bandmate Brandon Still. Watch a video of the performance above.

Gov’t Mule continue their tour with Blackberry Smoke tonight at the Blue Hills Bank Paviliion in Boston, MA.
