Much like he did with Twiddle in late July, Page McConnell joined an act coming through Burlington, VT last night as the Phish keyboardist teamed up with past collaborator George Porter Jr. and the Runnin’ Pardners at Nectar’s.

McConnell emerged for The Meters’ “Just Kissed My Baby” as well as a Phish cover mainstay, Allen Toussaint’s “Sneakin’ Sally Through the Alley.”

George Porter Jr. has previously welcomed McConnell into the world of The Meters when he, guitarist Leo Nocentelli and drummer Zigaboo Modeliste teamed with Page for a run of Meter Men shows around New Orleans’ Jazz Fest. McConnell and Porter Jr. spoke to Relix about the collaboration and their history together in early 2015 as well. Read more on that here.
