The Disco Biscuits closed out their New York City run with their debut at Coney Island’s Ford Amphitheater Boardwalk after two night underplaying at Irving Plaza as a part of their City Bisco event.

The set was highlighted by a second set opening cover of the Beastie Boys’ classic “No Sleep Til Brooklyn,” not played by the jamtronica mainstays since October 10, 2009. The second song of the night was another bustout, as the band played their original “¿Donde?,” for the first time since September 1, 2010.

The group also continued their collaboration with horn sections this year, welcoming out the Hungry March Band horn section for the opening number of the set, “Spectacle,” after the section kicked off the show by marching through the crowd and ending up onstage where they were joined by the band. A little earlier in the night, Hartford’s Proud Drill, Drum & Dance Corp made a surprise appearance marching through the venue as fans were taking their seats.

During their Irving Plaza run, the Biscuits debuted a new song from Marc Brownstein, “The Champions,” the first time the band had premiered a new original since 2010.

Next up for the band is a slot at the Imagine Festival in Atlanta, GA on August 27.
