In late March of last year, legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell was found unconscious in her home after suffering a brain aneurysm that led to a lengthy hospitalization. This weekend, Mitchell made her first public appearance since the incident at a Chick Corea concert at Los Angeles’ Catalina Bar & Grill.

As Consequence of Sound reports, the moment was captured by the above photo, which was posted to Mitchell’s website with the caption “We are thrilled to see Joni out and about again!” No further information was given on the state of the 72 year old’s health.

Last June, Mitchell’s friend David Crosby offered an update on her situation at the time, saying that he had heard she was not speaking yet. Crosby also lauded Mitchell’s iconic musical career, saying, “She’s a tough girl, and very smart. I love her… She’s probably the best of us — probably the greatest living singer-songwriter.”
