Dave Matthews Band’s final leg of their tour kicked off last night out west in Chula Vista, CA as the band charges towards the end of their 25th anniversary tour.

Among the highlights, a visit from their old friend Robert Randolph, who joined the group for a pair of tunes late in the set including “Rhyme & Reason,” a song he’s played five times with DMB, and “Cornbread.”

While Randolph’s history with DMB dates back to 2002 when he first sat in with the band, he hasn’t joined the band since 2009 when the Family Band opened a string of shows on the band’s summer tour. Randolph predominately appeared during 2005 and 2006, adding to tunes like “Louisiana Bayou” and “All Along the Watchtower” for the most part.

DMB’s tour continues tonight in Irvine, CA.
