This September marks what would have been the 90th birthday of legendary jazz musician John Coltrane, and the Philadelphia Jazz project is planning a week-long celebration of free events in the saxophonist’s hometown.
The series of events will take place September 17–25 and will include highlights like a six-hour saxophone marathon of national and local artists, outdoor music stages, special interpretations of Coltrane’s music and much more.
More information on the week-long event is available at the Philadelphia Jazz Project website.
