In 2013, a massive collection of Duane Allman’s catalog, Skydog: The Duane Allman Retrospective, was released as a CD box set, featuring 129 tracks from throughout Allman’s storied career. Now, the collection is getting the vinyl treatment, as a 12-LP collector’s set will receive a limited release of 1000 individually numbered copies.

The retrospective covers Allman’s time with The Allman Brothers Band, along with his earlier recordings with The Escorts, Allman Joys and Hour Glass and his studio work alongside Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Boz Scaggs and Delaney & Bonnie, plus a live recording of Allman playing with the Grateful Dead.

Along with the music, the collection will come with a 56-page book featured never before seen photos of Allman and essays by music journalist Scott Schinder and Allman’s daughter Galadrielle.

Skydog: The Duane Allman Retrospective on vinyl can be pre-ordered via PledgeMusic.
