Jack White will release his career-spanning acoustic collection, Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, next week on September 9, and today, the former White Stripes frontman has shared another preview of the album in the form of a reworking of his song “Carolina Drama” from The Raconteurs’ sophomore album, 2008’s Consolers of the Lonely.

The new version, which strips down the instrumentation but leaves the form and feel almost entirely intact, comes after White shared another song from the collection, a previously unreleased White Stripes recording, “City Lights.”

The 26-song compilation features original, remastered and reworked versions of White’s acoustic catalog from the Stripes, The Raconteurs and his more recent solo work. Pre-orders for Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016 are available here.
