Umphrey’s McGee stopped at Utica, NY’s Saranac Brewery for a show last night that fell on the eve of the fifteenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks. To honor the occasion, the band dusted off an emotional reading of “The Haunt” late in the first set.

The tune is significant to the event as it takes its name from the Ithaca, NY venue the group performed at on the night of the attacks. “The Haunt,” whose lyrics reference the events of that day and one that typically resurfaces around September every year, debuted later on in January of 2002.

Next up for the band is a pair of opening slots for Widespread Panic beginning September 15 in Tuscaloosa, AL and continuing the following night in Alpharetta, GA.
