Mountain Jam has announced it will be pushing next year’s festival dates back a couple weeks. While the event is usually held at the end of May or early June, Mountain Jam 2017 will take place on June 16–18.

In a statement, festival organizers said that the move was “in an effort to prevent weather cancellations or delays and increase our chances of sunny days and clear mountain nights.” This year’s Mountain Jam had to cancel much of its last day of music due to weather concerns.

“Michael Franti often says that you get to experience ALL four seasons at Mountain Jam,” the statement continues. “However after 12 Mountain Jam festivals we decided it was finally time to push the date ahead, focusing on two ideal seasons Spring and Summer!”
