Chris Thile, virtuoso mandolinist of the Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek, will host his first edition of A Prairie Home Companion on October 15 live from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN, with special guests Jack White and Lake Street Dive.

“Jack White is an inspiration,” Thile says of his first headlining guest. “He plays, sings, and writes with every fiber of his formidable being. And my God, Lake Street Dive! I’ve never witnessed a group of musicians create and perform with a more united sense of purpose.”

Also on Thile’s guest list for this fall’s broadcasts are Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and John Hodgman, who will play the Fitzgerald on October 22, and Esperanza Spalding and Aparna Nancherla, who will join Thile on October 29. The rest of the scheduled guests have yet to be announced.

This season of the iconic Prairie Home Companion will consist of seven shows produced and presented by American Public Media and broadcast live from St. Paul. See the full fall schedule and get ticketing information here.
