Pedal steel master Roosevelt Collier has been announced as the latest leader of a Brooklyn Comes Alive jam session, as he will lead a group that includes members of Snarky Puppy, Dopapod and Kung Fu at the New York festival on October 22.

Collier will be joined by Snarky Puppy bassist Michael League, Dopapod’s Rob Compa and Eli Winderman and Kung Fu drummer Adrian Tramontano. The show is the latest in a series of “Get Down” jams that Collier has recently lead in venues across the country.

Brooklyn Comes Alive will span three venues, Brooklyn Bowl, Music Hall of Williamsburg and The Hall at MP with special sets from a Joe Russo, Scott Metzger, Robert Walter and Andy Hess collaboration, The All Brothers Band featuring Neal and Alan Evans and Oteil and Kofi Burbridge, Reed Mathis’ Electric Beethoven, a tribute to J Dilla, the Break Science/Disco Biscuits mashup Breaking Biscuits, String Cheese’s Jason Hann and his Rhythmatronix and more.
