My Morning Jacket’s Jim James will release his sophomore solo effort Eternally Even on November 4 via ATO/Capitol Records. The record follows up his 2013 solo debut Regions of Light and Sound of God and, according to James, deals with many issues currently weighing on the world.

“I wanted to make an album that hopefully speaks to the issues of the day, many of which, sadly, are issues we have been dealing with since the beginning of time.” James said in a statement. “Most of what I think about right now is how so many things in the world are SO fucked up- our political system is broken and corrupt: Our Earth is being destroyed by climate change, people are not treating each other with equality and respect and I think: Are we going to make it?”

James will also support the record with a solo tour that kicks off September 28 in Pioneertown, CA and will extend into December with stops across the country. Consult the full schedule below.
