Cliff Williams, bassist for legendary rockers AC/DC, has announced he will be leaving the band after their current Rock or Bust Tour, TMZ reports (via Pitchfork). Williams, along with guitarist Angus Young is one of only two remaining longtime members of band currently performing with the group, which now has Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose as frontman.

Williams made the announcement via an official video from the band, which can be viewed below. In it, the bassist first thanks the fans for their support on the recent dates, which he calls “a hell of a tour.” Williams quickly turns to his departure, saying “It’s time for me to step out. That’s all…I’m just ready to get off the road.”

“I’m happy,” Williams continues. “I just need family time now—just chill out and not do this. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.” He also notes how this is not a reaction to other members leaving, referring to the most recent departure of lead singer Brian Johnson, who retired from touring due to risk of hearing loss. Other band members Phil Rudd and Malcolm Young previously parted ways with the band.

AC/DC’s Rock or Bust tour, along with Williams tenure in the band, wraps up tonight at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.
