Eric Clapton has announced he will play a three-night run at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall this coming May, the first time the legendary guitarist has played the venue since a May 2015 run that was thought to be his last, udiscovermusic reports.

Clapton will play the London venue on May 22 and 24–25 next year, and he will be joined by Paul Carrack, Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Chris Stainton, Sharon White and Michelle John.

Clapton recently said in an interview that he was contemplating retirement after his new album, I Still Do, saying “I kind of might be saying goodbye. But I’ve been doing that for a while.”

Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall shows, which will amount to mark Clapton’s record 208th appearance at the venue, will go on sale September 22.
