Umphrey’s McGee wrapped up their second annual Chucktown Ball with a show that saw them bust out a recent favorite cover for the first time since 2015.

In the second set, the group broke out “Rock the Casbah” for the first time in just over a year, leading into a “Drums” jam and then finally into the “Hurt Bird Bath” set closer.

Other highlights included a series of creative jams throughout as the band worked in Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger,” Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” and Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall” into the first-set closing “2×2.” To kick off the second set, “Life During Exodus” included the “25 or 6 to 4” jam it does on their forthcoming effort ZONKEY while “Bad Friday” incorporated Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” The “Hurt Bird Bath” finale got classical, as the band worked in some Bach material as well.

In related news, after the show Joel Cummins announced from the stage and tweeted today that the band will return to The Tabernacle in Atlanta for three nights over Martin Luther King Day weekend in January.
