Phil Lesh will assemble a group of Friends to dive into the collaboration of Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead with an October 23 show at his own Terrapin Crossroads.

Lesh will be joined by Rob Eaton, Rob Barraco, Stu Allen, John Molo, Scott Law and Ross James in the backyard of Terrapin as the group explores an era that saw two of the most prolific songwriting forces team up for a live album and tour.

“We never knew what Dylan was going to do onstage,” Lesh said in a statement of their joint stadium tour that would eventually turn into a 1989 release dubbed Dylan and the Dead. “We would come up with a plan and talk everything through and he would ALWAYS do something different. So, after a while, we just stopped planning.”
