Bob Weir will open up his 8-show acoustic Campfire tour this weekend, and the lineup for the run has been altered slightly, as The National’s Aaron Dessner will not be joining Weir for the dates due to a family emergency, Weir announced today.

In place of Dessner will be Weir’s former RatDog bandmate Steve Kimock, who will be playing guitar and lap steel, and Jon Shaw, who will be filling in with mandolin, piano, upright bass and backing vocals. Both musicians were a part of the recording sessions for Weir’s new solo album, Blue Mountain. They will be joining the previously announced backing band of Blue Mountain producer Josh Kaufman and The National’s Bryan and Scott Devendorf.

Weir and company will open the tour this Friday, October 7, in San Rafael, CA. See the full tour dates below.
