Paul McCartney took his turn at day two of Desert Trip along with fellow performer Neil Young, who followed an opening night that included The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan.

McCartney’s marathon 37-song set included a collaboration with Young, who joined in towards the end of his set for The Beatles’ classic “A Day in the Life” as well as Plastic Ono Band’s ““Give Peace a Chance” before offering up the live debut of White Album standout “Why Don’t We Do It in the Road.”

The Beatles bassist wasn’t done with the surprises as he kicked off his encore with the first rendition of With the Beatles track “I Wanna Be Your Man” since 1993. The tune has spent extensive time in Ringo Starr’s live repertoire (Starr sung the tune on With the Beatles) and the performance is surely a nod to The Rolling Stones, who played the night before and included a cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together.” The Stones released their version of the tune just three weeks before the Beatles did in November 1963.

Desert Trip wraps up today with The Who and Roger Waters. Watch a pair of performances from McCartney and Young’s collaboration here.
