The second round of pre-shows and after-parties taking place in New York for Phish’s return to Madison Square Garden over the New Year’s holiday include tributes to James Brown, Pink Floyd and David Bowie, among other events.

Among the newly added shows, Hayley Jane and the Primates will present a David Bowie-themed show on December 28 at B.B. King’s beginning at midnight. On December 29, Lespecial will play DROM at midnight and Pink Talking Fish will cover Pink Floyd’s Animals (as well as other animal-themed songs from Phish and the Talking Heads) at Gramercy Theatre on December 30.

New Year’s Eve has two new offerings, including Stella Blue’s Band playing nearby American Beauty at 4 PM and a James Brown Dance Party featuring Clyde Stubblefield, The Giant Country Horns, Elise Testone and more coming to Gramercy Theatre beginning at 2 AM.
