On December 2, Universal Music Group will release a 25th anniversary edition of Planet Drum, the groundbreaking and Grammy-winning world music album from a group of musicians including Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, and one of the new songs included in the new collection is now available.

The re-release and the new track, “Sea of Showers,” which can be heard below, are part of Hart’s new partnership with UMG, which will also include an upcoming album to be released via Verve Label Group next year. More information on the Planet Drum anniversary edition can be found at Hart’s website.

“Sea of Showers is seen as the dark patch on the near side of moon, which faces Earth and makes up the right eye of the ‘Man in the Moon,’” Hart says. “The ‘Higher frequencies’ that stimulates neural activity and makes you feel tingly, very serene and focused. Chimes have a very emotional sound, it somehow reminds me of the wind, it becomes a meditation.”
