Oakland singer-songwriter Joe Rut has just released his new album, Stolen Tools & Stereos, which features a number of special guest musicians, including bluegrass legend David Grisman.

Grisman lends his mandolin to the record, while Bobby Black offers some pedal steel and Scott Amendola fills in on drums. The album was written during a California road trip taken by Rut and recorded in a journal.
