Arcade Fire will headline Voodoo Festival in New Orleans tonight but the band popped up at a secret space last night to warm up for the festival

As the Times-Picayune reports, phones were confiscated at the door, preventing any footage from emerging as the band previewed some new material from their forthcoming record, a follow-up to 2013’s Reflektor.

Win Butler and Regine Chassagne have called New Orleans home recently, leading second line tributes to David Bowie and Prince throughout the year. The new music reportedly featured “dynamic, danceable rock with a sharp focus on heavy topics like religion and social and media pressures with percussive-heavy beats and an occasional flavor of disco.”
