Dave Matthews Band will release one of the most famed nights in the band’s history as the 40th edition of their Live Trax series will encompass December 21, 2002 at Madison Square Garden where the band welcomed out James Brown for a surprise performance of “Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine.”

The segment concluded a run that saw members of Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe (who opened the night) adding to the horn section on “So Much to Say,” “Anyone Seen the Bridge” and “Too Much” before Brown and the Soul Generals joined for “Sex Machine” to close the set.

The legendary show will be revisited in its entirety on Blu-Ray and CD, with a limited number of orders including a bonus disc featuring highlights from the band’s December 2002 tour.

Pre-orders are available here. Live Trax 40 is available December 6.
