After the news that former Black Crowes keyboardist Eddie Harsch unexpectedly passed away, a number of musicians took to social media to pay tribute to him.

Among them, former bandmate Chris Robinson (brother Rich announced the news of Harsch’s passing) who took to Facebook, posting a message on his Chris Robinson Brotherhood page. “I’m sad to say goodbye to my old friend and one of my greatest musical teachers, Ed Harsch,” he wrote. “Thank you Ed, I will miss you.”

Gov’t Mule also dedicated their show last night to Harsch and Jason Isbell shared a story about spending some time with the keyboardist a decade ago. “He was very kind to me in tough times for us both,” Isbell wrote. “Spent years with the brilliant music he made.” Read his full tribute below.
