A host of bands and musicians came together to pay tribute to Phish’s 1996 record Billy Breathes at the Brooklyn Bowl last night, including Aqueous, Jimkata, Teddy Midnight, Escaper, Bad Faces and Cousin Earth along with a few special guests.

Among the highlights, Cousin Earth kicked things off with a bluegrass version of Phish’s “Free” before Bad Faces delivered their take on “Waste” and “Taste” featuring banjo virtuoso Ryan Cavanaugh. It was then up to Teddy Midnight to tackle “Cars, Trucks, Buses,” “Talk” and a special cover of “Frankenstein” before Escaper played “Theme from the Bottom” as well as the more delicate “Train Song.”

The first of the two headliners, Jimkata, hit the stage later on for a set of original tunes before diving back into the Phish record, playing “Bliss” into the title track featuring Aqueous bassist Evan McPhaden sitting in.

It was then time for McPhaden’s band to close out the album and the night with a set featuring “Swept Away,” “Steep” and “Prince Caspian” before ending the night on a “Prince Caspian” reprise.
