According to Rolling Stone, Dave Matthews will launch a new TV series focusing around the musical communities in conflict zones around the world.

Inspired by a recent trip to Cuba, Matthews’ show will chronicle and profile the music scenes in Tehran, Iran and Dakar, Senegal, among others.

“When we look at history through the lens of the arts we get a more human perspective,” Matthews said. “We should look at the contemporary world that way. What are you reading? How does music make you feel? What makes you want to dance? What is art? What does it mean to be human? What matters to you? If you could go to far away places with these questions, what would you find?”

The program is still currently in development.
