Australian psych-rockers King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have announced they will release their new studio album, Flying Microtonal Banana, which follows up this year’s Nonagon Infinity and will reportedly be the first of five records offered up by the band in 2017.

The new album, the ninth studio effort by King Gizzard, is set for release on February 24 and is billed as the band’s “first-ever experience in microtonal tuning,” which refers to using tones in-between those traditionally employed in Western music.

The band has shared the first single from Flying Microtonal Banana, “Rattlesnake,” and the accompanying video, along with a run of US tour dates that will kick off on March 29 at Washington, DC’s 9:30 Club. See the video and dates below.
