Later this month, various venues in San Francisco will host events for Pranksgiving 2016, a week of benefits raising money for Taking it to the Streets, a non-profit that provides aid, shelter and support for the homeless youth of the city’s Haight Ashbury area.

On November 25, the Fifth Annual Tie-Dye Fashion Gala will take place at Avalon Ballroom with music from The Foundation of Funk, the supergroup that includes George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters and Dumpstaphunk’s Ivan Neville, Ian Neville and Tony Hall, and Reed Mathis’ Electric Beethoven project. The following day at the Boom Boom Room, Lettuce drummer Adam Deitch will team up with Nigel Hall, Tony Hall, Ian Neville and some special guests to play at the Tie-Dye Panty Party. The week of benefit events rounds out with the free Pranksgiving Art Show at Jammin on Haight.

More information on the events is available at the respective venue’s websites and Jammin on Haight.
