On December 14, an all-star cast of musicians will come together at Brooklyn Bowl for a tribute to legendary poet and activist John Perry Barlow, who has been a longtime songwriting partner of Bob Weir and the Grateful Dead. The concert will also raise money for Barlow’s medical expenses, which have mounted over the past year and a half due to various ailments.

The house band for the night will be made up of The Terrapin Family Band, now billed as The Songs of Barlow, which features Grahame Lesh, Ross James, Alex Koford and Scott Padden. Also joining the lineup will be Soulive/Lettuce guitarist Eric Krasno, Jackie Greene, Ryan Adam’s & The Cardinals’ Jon Graboff, Marco Benevento bassist Karina Rykman, Katie Jacoby, Dark Star Orchestra’s Rob Barraco, Leslie Mendelson and more.

Last month, another benefit for Barlow took place at Bob Weir’s Sweetwater Music Hall featuring music from Weir, Claypool Lennon Delirium, Jerry Harrison, Lukas Nelson, members of The String Cheese Incident and more.

Proceeds from the Brooklyn Bowl show will go to benefit the John Perry Barlow Benefit Trust. More information and ticketing can be found here.
