Next year, guitarist Warren Haynes and producer and bassist Don Was will head up an 11-show tour around their tribute to The Band’s legendary San Francisco farewell concert dubbed ‘The Last Waltz,’ continuing the event’s 40th anniversary celebration that the duo started back in April with an all-star tribute during New Orleans’ Jazz Fest.

For the tour, which runs from January 21–February 4 up and down the East Coast, Haynes and Was will be joined by keyboardist John Medeski, singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson, drummer Terence Higgins and Michael McDonald, along with a horn section that will employ the original charts penned by the late Allen Toussaint.

“The Last Waltz is one of the greatest rock music moments in history,” Haynes told Rolling Stone. “When we did it in New Orleans, it was so much fun. We were able to honor what came before and still come up with a different take on the original with a very unique blend of musical personalities.”

Next week, The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, will hold their own tribute to the iconic concert in The Complete Last Waltz with Phosphorescent, Langhorne Slim, Nicole Atkins, Rayland Baxter and members of Guster, Antibalas, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and more.
