Arlo Guthrie will reunite with members of his former band Shenandoah during his annual holiday show at New York’s Carnegie Hall. This year’s Thanksgiving weekend performance will be held on Saturday, November 26.

Though he usually performed solo acoustic in the 1960s and early ’70s, Guthrie formed the backing band Shenandoah in 1975. The ensemble remained with Guthrie through the 1980s, before the folk troubadour switched gears once again. (He’s performed with a smaller combo in recent years.)

Shenandoah alumni confirmed to join Guthrie and his son Abe this weekend include mainstays Terry “A La Berry” Hall, Steve Ide and Carol Ide. Carnegie Hall promises, “Not only will they perform the classics, but together they will revisit some songs [he] has not performed live in years.”

Guthrie has presented a Thanksgiving weekend Carnegie Hall show for over four decades. For many years, he co-hosted the event with folk icon Pete Seeger. Last year’s celebration featured a complete performance of his signature “Alice’s Restaurant Massacree” and appearances by his daughter Sarah Lee Guthrie, son-in-law Johnny Irion and other family members.
