Port Chester, NY’s Capitol Theatre hosted the annual celebration of The Band’s iconic Last Waltz with an entire performance of the show with a host of musicians like Nels Cline, Joe Russo, Scott Metzger, Nicole Atkins, Eric Johnson, Matt Vasquez and many others.

Among the highlights, Sam Cohen leading an early version of “W.S. Walcott Medicine Show,” Alecia Chakour with a soulful rendition of “Georgia On My Mind” before Scott Metzger took the lead on “Ophelia” and Langhorne Slim led “Rag Mama Rag.”

Rayland Baxter was tasked with “It Makes No Difference” and Benevento sang “Such A Night.” Meanwhile, White Denim frontman James Petralli led the ensemble on “The Wheels On Fire.” Nicole Atkins appeared for a pair of tunes including “Four Strong Winds” and “Helpless” following an appearance from Nels Cline on “All Our Past Times” and “Further On Up the Road.”

In the encore, the ensemble dedicated “Bessie Smith” to the late Sharon Jones as Cochemea Gastelum, former Dap-Kings member, joined the fold along with Binky Griptite. Watch that performance above.
