Big Light will play a special show at San Francisco’s Brick & Mortar Music Hall on Sunday, December 3. The indie-jam outfit, who rarely perform these days, reformed after a three-year hiatus in 2015 and will perform their debut album Animals In Bloom in its entirety during their December show. For the special presentation, the old-school Big Light lineup of Fred Torphy (guitar, vocals),
Bradly Bifulco (drums), ALO’s Steve Adams (bass) and Jeremy Korpas (guitar) will reform for the first time in over four years. The show will also celebrate a few birthdays.

A note on the band’s Facebook page reads:

First things first, this is a three-way birthday celebration for Bradly & Jeremy of Big Light and the crowd favorite Jon Gunton of The Dirty. We suggest you cancel your next day Sunday plans because we’re going to need you to go huge for these guys. They’ve earned it. You’ve earned it!

This will be the first time in over four years that the combination of Fred, Bradly, Jeremy and Steve will take the stage as Big Light. As a gift to our friends/fans and as a gift to ourselves we are going to perform our debut album Animal In Bloom in full for the first time. CAUTION!!!

The Dirty play hard, sing hard and drink hard. They look great doing it too. Always a shit stomping good time when the boys get together and throw down a good hoot!

Rick and Jeremy go way back. They have been in three different projects together and the music runs deep. They performed together again for the first time in almost a decade last week in N.J. and it was a tear jerker to say the least. Rick just released his new album Curses, Maledictions and Harsh Reiterations this month and is taking it out on the road. His tour ends in San Francisco and Jeremy will be taking the stage with him again. Getting there early is an absolute no-brainer.

In related seasonal news, Adams will play three holiday shows with Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers in the coming weeks. On December 18, the group will perform both matinee and evening shows at Lafayette, CA’s Town Hall Theatre and they will appear at Chico, CA’s Sierra Nevada Big Room on December 19-20.
