Tedeschi Trucks Band closed down their 2016 touring slate last night with the third and final night at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, which featured another tribute to the late Leon Russell.

Susan Tedeschi led the ensemble on his own classic “A Song For You,” which has been covered and recorded over the years by the likes of Willie Nelson, Ray Charles and Amy Winehouse. This tribute followed a previous nod to Russell, who passed away in his sleep on November 13 at the age 74, as vocalist Mike Mattison led the group through “Delta Lady” on Friday night.

The finale marked TTB’s 101st show of 2016 and their last of the calendar year, as the band will reconvene in January for a run that includes their Sunshine Music Festival featuring Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Bruce Hornsby, Mavis Staples and more.
