Firefly Music Festival announced today a detailed plan to become the first completely fan-curated music festival, announcing that up to 40 different surveys will be presented to the fans on the festival’s website, with talent decisions being made along with restaurant names, art installations and much more.

The result will be the first fan-curated music festival, as the Dover, DE fest moves into their fifth year slated to kick off June 15-18. Red Frog Events’ Creative Programming Director Christian Pheil told Consequence of Sound, “We realized how much people were engaged and loving being involved in the talent portion of the event, so we were like why are we just doing this with the lineup? Why not do it with everything?”

Fans will be able to vote on numerous amenities around the festival, including talent. Firefly will also debut a new bar concept, allowing fans to choose between bar themes like piano bar, ping-pong bar and more. “People will be able to speak to every single facet of Firefly,” Pheil says.

Firefly’s lineup will be unveiled in 2017 along with the ticketing on-sale information.
