This past weekend, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe got a bit bigger when Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring joined the band for a run of southern shows, joining the fold for most of each night’s set.

The collaborations rolled through the Georgia Theatre in Athens, the New Mountain Theatre in Asheville, NC, the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC, and Terminal West in Atlanta, with Herring coming out for tunes like ZZ Top’s “Just Got Paid,” David Bowie’s “Young Americans,” Steely Dan’s “Show Biz Kidz” and The Brecker Brothers’ “Some Skunk Funk,” among others.
