Australia’s King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard will release the first of five planned 2017 albums, Flying Microtonal Banana, on February 24, and the psych-rockers have now shared the second single from the record, “Nuclear Fusion.”

The new album is said to be King Gizzard’s “first-ever experience in microtonal tuning,” in which musicians use tones in between those traditionally used in Western music.

“Nuclear Fusion,” which follows up first single “Rattlesnake,” seems to be influenced by the sitar-laden traditional Indian music that so influenced artists like George Harrison in the ’60s and ’70s, powered by guitars, keyboards and King Gizzard’s signature fuzzy sheen.
