Berkeley, CA-bred, Brooklyn, NY-based guitarist Will Bernard is back on the West Coast for the holidays and will play a series of special shows this weekend. Last night, Bernard performed at San Francisco’s Biscuits and Blues with Buddy Guy keyboardist Marty Sammon and this evening he will host his multi-band Holiday Throw-Down at San Fran’s Boom Boom Room. The collaborative event will bring together Brooklyn Trout 360—Bernard, Deszon Claiborne, Victor Little, Maya Kronfeld, The Jazz Mafia Horns and Curtis Bumpy singer Omega—and Jake Nielsen’s Triple Threat.

Tomorrow Bernard will perform with Sammon for the second time this week, joining the keyboardist for a Christmas Eve show at Biscuits and Blues. Then, he will will appears as part of Peter Apfelbaum and Sparkler for a Christmas hangover performance at Berkeley’s Freight and Salvage on December 16. This version of the former Trey Anastasio Band saxophonist’s project will also include his goddaughter and current TAB trombonist Natalie Cressman, fellow brass player Jill Ryan, drummer Charlie Ferguson on drums and special guest Erika Oba on keyboards.
