Widespread Panic kicked off their New Year’s run proper at the Bridgestone Arena last night with a look back at their extensive studio career.

Starting with their 1988 record Space Wrangler, Panic went back in time throughout the night, presenting material from each of their studio albums in chronological order in the first and second sets, ultimately ending with a pair of tunes from their latest effort, Street Dogs.

The encore deviated from the two sets, as the band delivered versions of “Protein Drink/Sewing Machine” before John Bell took to the mandolin for a fitting “End of the Show” prior to departing to the Star Wars theme music as a nod to the late Carrie Fisher.

Panic will return to the stage tonight.
