Electric Beethoven/Billy & The Kids bassist Reed Mathis, ALO guitarist Dan Lebowitz, piano player Holly Bowling and drummer Pete Lavezzoli have confirmed a last-minute gig. The musicians will play a free show San Rafael, CA’s Terrapin Crossroads later today, January 4. Mathis recently returned from Hawaii where he performed with Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, Taj Mahal, Mike Campbell and others while ALO played a New Year’s Eve gig outside their home turf of Santa Barbara, CA. Bowling had a few shows around New York Phish’s Madison Square Garden run.

In other news, Lebo will take part in the Songs About Something: Old, New, Borrowed & Blue Tunes in the Round show at San Francisco, CA’s Ivy Room on January 5. Hosted by Bay Area songwriter Paige Clem, the monthly residency is a “unique spin on ‘songwriters in the round’ where talented local and touring songwriters come together to share a new original song, an old original song, a borrowed cover song and a blues song.” This week’s showcase will also feature fellow ALO member Steve Adams as well as Ben and Alex Morrison of The Brothers Comatose.
