On January 14, Nashville’s Basement East will host a special mega-tribute to the many artists lost in 2016 with “Sing Me Back Home,” a benefit featuring a long list of musicians playing the music of David Bowie, Leon Russell, Leonard Cohen, Prince, Merle Haggard and many more.

Participating in the event, which is named after a Haggard tune, will be Nicole Atkins, Phosphorescent, The Lone Bellow, Rayland Baxter, members of Old Crow Medicine Show, The Watson Twins, Jessie Baylin, Lera Lynn, Kristen Reilly, Andrew Combs, Emma Swift, The Blackfoot Gypsies, Christopher Paul Stelling, Cedric Burnside, Banditos, Erin Rae, The Minks, Indianola, Ashley Wilcoxson, Ian Ferguson, Legendary Shack Shaker and more special guests.

Set to be honored at the show, along with those listed above, are lost icons Sharon Jones, Lemmy, Ralph Stanley, Paul Kantner & Signe Anderson of Jefferson Airplane, Eagles’ Glenn Frey, Guy Clark, Beatles producer George Martin, Chess Records’ Phil Chess, George Michael and Floyd August of Flying Burrito Brothers.

Proceeds from the evening will go to support The Polaris Project, which works to fight human trafficking. Tickets to the show are available here.
