Last November, the Grateful Dead detailed an extensive reissue series that will see remastered, deluxe editions of each of the band’s albums released, starting with their 1967 self-titled debut, which will get the reissue treatment on January 20.

Today, Entertainment Weekly premiered a track from the Grateful Dead reissue, a previously unreleased live version of the blues standard “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” from the Dead’s show at Vancouver’s P.N.E. Garden Auditorium on July 29, 1966. The cut is just one of the tracks included in the deluxe release from the band’s two-night run at the venue. The recording features Pigpen on vocals and harmonica, showcasing the early blues-centric sound that the band embraced in those days.
