On New Year’s Eve, Ween guitarist Dean Ween, aka Mickey Melchiondo, sat in with friends Bill & Fred & Tomato’s Excellent Adventure in his hometown of New Hope, PA, two doors down from his regular haunt of John and Peter’s, where he hosts weekly jam sessions every Wednesday.

The intimate two-set performance saw Melchiondo join the group, which consisted of guitarists Bill Fowler and Fred Moore and percussionist Chris “Tomato” Harfenist, for several acoustic covers and one Ween original, plus the debut of “Jar Jar Binks,” a song that Melchiondo, who says he tries to write a song a day, had penned earlier in the day.

Some highlights of the night included an opening Pink Floyd medley and covers of David Bowie, the Grateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Spitune, The Clash, Bob Dylan and more. See the full setlist from the night below.
